Belonging
Everyone has a place at the table — residents, families, and the people who serve them.
Senior living · Hospitality culture
We help operators, executive directors, and hospitality teams shape communities where belonging and dignity are daily practice — not posters on a wall.
Start a conversationWho we serve
Swain House partners with the people closest to the resident experience — the ones who set the tone at the door, the table, and the team huddle.
Portfolio leaders who want hospitality culture to travel with consistency — without losing the warmth of each community.
Site leaders balancing census, staffing, and spirit — looking for culture that steadies the floor, not just the scorecard.
Directors of dining, life enrichment, and guest services who know the table is where belonging begins.
How we work
A calm process — no binders for binders’ sake. We meet your community where it is and leave something that lasts.
Conversations with residents, families, and team members. What already feels like home — and what doesn’t.
Walk-throughs of dining, welcome, and daily rhythms. Not audits — attention to the moments that shape culture.
Clear pillars, language, and rituals your team can own. Practical, hospitable, and true to your place.
Coaching, check-ins, and simple tools so the culture doesn’t fade when the consultant leaves.
Culture pillars
Four quiet commitments that turn hospitality from a department into a shared way of being.
Everyone has a place at the table — residents, families, and the people who serve them.
Respect in the small moments: how we speak, how we wait, how we invite choice.
Dining and arrival as hospitality craft — warmth you can taste and feel at the door.
Culture starts with the people who work there. Care for the caregivers, and it shows.
About
Swain House began from a simple belief: senior living communities are homes first — and the culture of a home is shaped by how people are welcomed, fed, and known.
We work alongside operators and on-site leaders to make that belief practical — through listening, observation, and quiet rituals that stick. Our founder story is rooted in the same close listening and care we bring to every community.
